Turned it over and their pass protection was terrible. No goal to goal trips ethier. Did well in the red zone too. On defense their secondary had trouble defending passes and couldn't stop the chains from moving. Had a difficult time protecting red zone territory too. Luckily they created a turnover and their pass rush got to the QB for a few sacks. Stopped 3rd down as well. For the run they allowed yards but their per carry total was low. The Chiefs had 11 first downs on the pass, they averaged 4.5 in yards per carry and they fell to a 17-3 record.

The Eagles routed the Chiefs 37-6. Philadelphia has won their 2nd Super Bowl in franchise history and first since 2018. In quarter Jalen Hurts threw a 27-yard pass completion to Dotson. A play later Hurts used a 1-yard tush push touchdown, 7-0. ??. QB made quality pass completions across the middle, close to the sideline or deep downfield(60 yards). Their pass protection was good and they kept turnover low. They were effective in the red zone(1 for 1) and I goal to goal(1 for 1). They ran for yards(40 while averaging 2.9) but their per carry total was bad. Their defense took away chain movement and they stopped 3rd down. Kept Kansas City out red zone and goal to goal territory. Their secondary did excellent in pass coverage by swatting passed away. Now their pass rush needs to be more effective moving forward. Then in the 2nd quarter Elliott drianed a 48-yard field goal, 10-0. This drive took 7 plays for 27 yards and they controlled the ball for 3:59. Now on defense DeJean picked off Mahomes and returned it for a 38-yard touchdown, 17-0. Later on Hurts found A.J. Brown for a 12-yard touchdown, 24-0. This touchdown was set up on Mahomes INT. The Eagles capped off quarter 3 by adding 4 first downs while going 1 of 2 on 3rd and Hurts threw for 32 yards. They rushed for 41 and went 0 for 1 in the red zone. 0 for 1 in goal to goal too. Transitioning to the 4th quarter Elliott hit a 48-yard field goal, 37-6. Toward the end Elliott drilled a 50-yard field goal, 40-6. The Eagles tallied 21 first downs and finished 3 for 12 on 3rd. Hurts threw for 221 yards and they rushed for 135. Were 2 for 3 in the red zone and 1 for 2 in goal to goal. Now they did turn it over and their pass protection gave up some sacks. Were insufficient on 3rd down too. For the defense they kept Kansas City out of goal to goal situations. Their pass rush was effective and they generated turnovers. Got off the field on 3rd down too. Now their secondary struggled just slightly in pass coverage and let a few passes get behind them. They didn't allow a lot of rushing yards but the per carry total was still effective. Sunday February 11th, 2024: The Chiefs knocked off the 49ers in Overtime by a final score of 25-22. Kansas City for the first time in 20 years have won back to back Super Bowl's and the last team to do that was the 2004-2005 Patriots. Mahomes in one threw for 9 yards and they rushed for 11. Went 0 of 2 on 3rd and gained 1 first down. Defense forced 1 turnover to go along. The Chiefs were struggling to move the chains and couldnt execute on 3rd down. Made zero trips in the red zone and in goal to goal. To make matters worse Mahomes had tough time reading the field which caused him to throw it away and their rushing attack was shutdown. Mahomes also went down once. Pass and run protection have to be better. Look, minus that 1 sack the O-line is still letting the pocket collapse. Defensively, their secondary in pass coverage allowed yards through the air but at least they kept everything in front of them and stopped the run by plugging gaps. Kept San Francisco out red zone and goal to goal territory. Forced a turnover as well. Too bad they allowed a bunch of first downs. Then in quarter Mahomes with good protection heaved a 52 yard pass completion to Mecole Hartman and it set the Chiefs up at the 49ers 9 yard line. A play later Pacheco fumbles the ball which allowed Watson to recover it. Later on Mahomes on 3rd and goal was sacked Armstead. After that, Butler drilled a 28 yard field goal, 3-10. The Chiefs went 0 for 1 in the red zone and snagged 5 first downs. Were 0 for 1 in goal to goal and went 3 of 5 on 3rd. Along with Mahomes throwing for 114 yards and they picked 25 on the ground. Patrick Mahomes did a much better job of completing his passes as he spotted Receivers toward the sideline and deep over the middle. Kansas City also did a great job of moving the sticks. Did well on 3rd down too but they weren't executing in the red zone. Were indifferent in goal to goal. As for the pass protection they gave up only 1 sack but again their still not protecting the pocket and it's forcing Mahomes to run for his life. Their run game was in effective due to poor blocking. On defense their secondary in pass coverage didn't allow many yards through the air due to swatting passes and stuffed the run. They also stopped the chains from moving and got off the field on their only 3rd down of the quarter. Kept the Niners out of red zone and goal to goal territory. Not to mention there pass rush got to Purdy for 1 sack but if they couldn't do that then they forced QB hurries by disrupting his pocket. Chiefs were 3 for 7 on 3rd, had 7 total first downs, rushed for 39 yards, Mahomes was sacked twice and slipped into halftime trailing 3-10. During the 3rd quarter Kansas City would take their first lead after Mahomes found Valdes Scantling for a 16 yard passing touchdow, 13-10. This 1 play scoring drive was set up on a 49ers muffed punt. The Chiefs reeled in 5 1st downs and went 1 of 4 on 3rd with 34 yards rushing. Mahomes threw for 51 and were 1 of 1 in the red zone. First off, Patrick Mahomes completed most of his passes across the middle and moved the sticks effectively. Were effecient in red zone territory. They just struggled to get their run game going because of poor blocking and lacked 3rd down converting. No goal to goal appearance and turned it over once. Pass protection didn't allow sacks but Mahomes pocket was still getting flustered. Their defense restricted the ground game by clogging open lanes and shutdown the sticks. Eliminated most their 3rd down conversions. Kept San Francisco out the red zone and goal to goal situations. Secondary in pass coverage did a tremendous job of batting the balls away. Now their pass rush permiited 0 sacks but they got the next best thing which was forcing QB hurries that led to incomplete throws. Scored 7 points off 1 turnover forced. Shifting to the 4th quarter Butler with 6 seconds left would force Overtime after drilling a 29 yard field goal, 19-19. Mahomes threw for 112 yards and ran for 24. Gained 4 1st first downs and went 3 of 4 on 3rd. Mahomes with better protection had time to read the field which allowed pass completions across the middle and at the sideline. Rushed the ball poorly thanks to bad blocking and rarely moved the markers. Did damage on 3rd down too. No red zone or goal to goal trips ethier. Only 1 sack was given up. Their secondary took away the pass game by swatting balls down. They restricted the chains and eliminated 3rd down conversions. Shutdown the run and kept San Francisco out of goal to goal. Too bad they couldn't defend 4th and struggled to protect the red zone. Heading to Overtime Mahomes on 4th and 1 ran for 8 yards for a fresh set of downs. Nine plays later Mahomes delivered a 3 yard touchdown strike to Hartman, 25-22. In the Overtime Mahomes passed for 42 yards and they ran for 28 with 4 1st downs acquired. Went 2 for 3 on 3rd and were 1 for 1 in the red zone. Mahomes with the protection up front was able to complete his passes over the middle or close to the sideline and executed on 3rd. Did well in red zone territory and capitalized on 4th. No goal to goal appearance and couldn't move the markers. Defensively, they shutdown the run and denied San Francisco in red zone territory. No goal to goal trips and kept the chains from advancing. Pass rush could barely touch Purdy due little or no pressure put on. Although, they struggled to stop 3rd down conversions. Chiefs finished 9 of 19 on 3rd, gained 24 1st downs, Mahomes threw for 333 yards, rushed for 130 while attaching 2 turnovers, were 2 for 6 in the red zone and 1 of 3 in goal to goal.

The 49ers in Super Bowl 58 suffered a heartbreakimg 22-25 Overtime loss to the Chiefs. San Francisco got beat by the same team twice and lost their third Super Bowl. By the way the Niners blew a 10 point lead in the first meeting with KC and then again this year. Niners through one picked up 7 first downs and went 1 of 2 on 3rd. Purdy threw for 105 yards and they ran for 20. So Brock Purdy completed his passes over the middle and toward the sideline. They also moved the sticks effectively. Too bad their running game was shutdown and they made zero appearances in the red zone. None in goal to goal their. Now their secoary in pass coverage did a tremendous job and the pass rush put pressure on Mahomes. Stuffed the run by closing open gaps and denied the chains from moving the chains. Moving to the 2nd quarter Jennings on a trick play delivered a 21 yard touchdown pass to Christian McCaffrey, 10-0. Purdy through two passed for 39 yards and they ran for 19. Gained 4 1st downs and went 0 for 1 on 3rd. San Francisco had trouble moving the markers and didn't execute on their only 3rd down of this quarter. One third down the entire quarter isn't bad actually but percentage wise is was still iffy. They couldn't run the ball due to weak blocking because holes weren't opening up. Doesn't help either that Brock Purdy struggled to complete his passes. A few drops by the Recivers too. As for the defense their secondary failed to defend the pass and let the sticks move. Struggled to get off the field on 3rd. Now they stopped the run attack by clogging gaps and restricted red zone opportunities. Kept KC out of goal to goal and caused a turnover. Purdy had 144 yards passing, were a 1 for 4 on 3rd, earned 12 first downs while running for 49 yards and went into the half leading 10-3. The Niners in quarter 3 picked up 1 1st down and went 1 of 3 on 3rd with 1 turnover. Purdy passed for 33 yards and they ran for 9. Got outscored 10-0 as well. So Brock Purdy had trouble completing his passes and their run game was no where to be found. Including poor run protection. They barely moved the sticks and were struggling on 3rd down. No red zone and goal to goal trips ethier. Also had costly turnover that allowed the Chiefs to capitalize off of. Now their secondary had issues defending the pass and let the chains move. Not to mention they couldn't protect the red zone. Now they stopped the run by closing off space and made 3rd down stops. Their pass rush is doing a great job of applying pressure on Mahomes even if no sacks occurred. Kept Kansas City out of goal to goal situations. In the 4th quarter Brock Purdy found Jennings for a 10 yard touchdown pass but missed the PAT, 16-13. The Niners earned 4 1st downs and went 0 for 2 on 3rd. Were 1 for 1 in the red zone and in 4th with Purdy throwing for 37 yards. Rushed for 25 too. The Niners were struggling to execute on 3rd down and running the ball was a non factor due to insufficient blocking. Were effecient on the red zone. They hardly moved the sticks and made 0 goal to goal appearance. Executed on 4th though. As for Purdy he had a tough time completing his passes. The defense got to Mahomes for 1 sack and applied some pressure but they couldn't contain him. They were unable to protect the red zone as well. To make matters worse the Niners secondary struggled in pass coverage and couldn't make 3rd down stops. Now they kept Kansas City out of goal to goal and limited the chains. Now the Niners first drive of Overtime ended with Jake Moody draining a 27 yard field goal, 22-19. This drive took 13 plays for 76 yards and controlled the ball for 7:38. This kick doesn't happen if they don't convert a big 2nd and 12 play. The Niners piled up 4 1st downs and went 2 for 3 on 3rd with 26 yards rushing. Passed for 51 and were 0 of 1 in the red zone. So Purdy this time around made all the right throws as he completed quality passes over the middle and at the sideline. Did an excellent job on 3rd down. However, they had problems on the run due to insufficient blocking and made no red zone trips. Also didn't make goal to goal appearances. Now in defense their secondary in pass coverage was weak and couldn't get off the field on 3rd. Made no red zone stops. At least they took away the run and kept Kansas City out of goal to goal situations. 49ers finished 1 of 2 in the red zone, had 23 1st downs, went 3 of 12 on 3rd, Purdy passed for 276 yards, 2 turnovers added, ran for 110 with 1 sack and earned 382 yards of total offense.

Sunday February 12th, 2023: Hurts played great but the Eagles didn't get the end result that they wanted after sustaining a disappointing 35-38 loss to the Chiefs. Eagles suffer first Super Bowl loss since 2004 and staggered down to their 4th defeat of the season. In the 1st quarter  Philly's first drive would end up in Chiefs territory after Hurts delivered a 23 yard completion to Smith. This set them up with a 1st and 10.  Four plays later hurts on a QB sneak would rush into the end zone for a 1 yard score, 7-0. Drive lasted 11 plays for 75 yards and possessed the ball for 4:51. Eagles in the 1st picked up 5 first downs with 4 coming in the air and went 2 for 3 on 3rd. They ran for 22 yards and in that process snagged 3 first downs. The Eagles pass/run ratio got clicking as he had protection from up front and got the ball out quickly, whether it was towards the sidelines or through the middle of the field. The run game was equally effective, as rushers found space on good blocking. Also, they moved the sticks efficiently and kept drives alive by executing on 3rd down. During the 2nd quarter Hurts on short 5 play drive would deliver a 45 yard touchdown pass to Brown thus going up 14-7. Two drives later Hurts on 4th and 5 would break loose up the middle the field before be being tackled by Sneed at the Kansas City 16 yard line. Following that big play Hurts would scamper into the end zone for a 4 yard score, 21-14. Philly ended the 2nd by securing 4 first downs and went 2 for 4 in 3rd and 2 of 2 on 4th. Along with rushing for 65 yards and Hurts threw for 69. Jalen Hurts went through his reads while getting the ball out quick, and their rushers continue to find space off quality blocks. Philadelphia capitalized on most of their red zone opportunities and were effective on 1st and 3rd down. Eagles were 2 for 3 in the red zone, were a combined 6 for 10 on 3rd, Hurts had 63 yards rushing and 185 in the air while entering halftime up 24-14. Shifting into the 3rd quarter Hurts on 4th and 1 would utilize a QB sneak to help Philly gain a fresh set downs. Unfortunately, this 17 play drive would end with an Elliott 33 yard field goal, 27-21. Philly snagged 5 first downs and went 3 for 4 on 3rd while getting outscored 7-3. Hurts passed for 53 yards and their rushers snagged 15 on the ground. The Eagles air attack continued to be a problem for Kansas City as Hurts did his damage deep down the field and Receivers made quality catches when in space. The Eagles executed well on 1st and ate a ton of clock while dominating in the red zone. Including long sustainable drives due to good 3rd down converting. We now turn our attentions to the 4th quarter, where Hurts walked into the end zone on a 1 yard score and they successfully converted a 2-point play, 35-35. Philly in the 4th piled up 3 first downs while gaining 2 on 3rd and got outscored 17-8 with Hurts throwing for 70 yards. Eagles concluded their night by earning 25 first downs with 11 coming in the air and finished 11 of 18 on 3rd and 3 of 5 in the red zone. They acquried 12 first downs on 115 yards rushing. The Eagles in crunch time struggled to run the ball due holes not opening up and weren't as effective on 1st and 3rd down. However, one positive is that Hurts was able move the ball by delivering deep passes through the middle of the field or towards the sidelines. Eagles tallied 417 yards of total offense, ended up going 3 for 3 in goal to goal, Hurts threw 2 tubs for 304 yards and dropped off to an overall 16-4 record.

Chiefs are back on top after knocking off the Eagles 38-35. The Chiefs win their 2nd Super Bowl since 2019 and Patrick Mahomes won MVP. Chiefs late in the 1st quarter would respond with a score of their own after Patrick Mahomes fired an 18 yard touchdown to Kelce, 7-7. Chiefs through one reeled in 5 first downs with 3 coming on the pass and went 0 for 1 on 3rd. That includes 5:34 of possession time and ran for 39 yards on 1 first down tallied. The Chiefs on two offensive possessions were moving the chains effectively and barely faced any 3rd downs due to long sustainable drives, with most of their pass and run attempts going for 20 or more yards. Speaking of their ground attack, they've run the ball well on good blocking. Then during the 2nd quarter the chiefs defense would strike in a big way. As Jalen Hurts fumbled and it  allowed  Nick Boltin to scoop the loose ball and returned it for a 36 yard touchdown, 14-14. Chiefs wrapped up the 2nd quarter by pulling in 1 first down while going 0 for 2 on 3rd and got outscored 17-7. The Chiefs offense at this time were struggling on both ends off the ball. Mahomes is getting flustered out off the pocket, which forces him to try and extend off the play and  their rushers can't find any space due to poor blocking. Defensively, Kansas City is having a tough time stopping  the run and are getting beat through off the middle off the field. Chiefs were flat on 1st and 3rd down as well. The Chiefs were a total 0 for 3 on 3rd, 0 yards rushing in this half alone and jogged into halftime down 14-24. In the 3rd quarter on 2nd and 3 Mahomes would use his feet to scamper for a 14 yard run and it gave his team a fresh set of downs. Few plays later MacKinnon would burst into the end zone a 1 yard touchdown, 21-24. Chiefs closed out the 2nd by hauling in 4 first downs and went 1 for 1 on 3rd due to most run and pass plays going for 14 or more yards. They attached 73 yards rushing and Mahomes threw for 72. Kansas City were much better on 1st and 3rd down and were more efficient in the red zone. Mahomes in the air  hurt Philly by delivering quick passes towards the sidelines and their backs found running room on solid blocks. Transitioning into the 4th quarter Kansas City would take their first lead after Mahomes found a wide open Toney for a 5 yard touchdown pass, 28-27. In the end, with 11 ticks left Butker would drill in a game winning 31 yard field goal, 38-35. Chiefs capped off the 4th by recording 4 first downs and went 2 for 3 on 3rd. Chiefs sunk their teeth into 21 first downs while 12 of them came on the pass and went 4 for 8 on 3rd and 4 of 5 in the red zone. They ran for 158 yards with 7 first downs added and were penalized 6 times for 33 yards. Chiefs on the offensive side steamrolled Philly in the 2nd half due to Mahomes reading the field and getting the ball out quick to his playmaking Recivers who racked up a ton of yards after the catch. Ground game was fluent as their O-Line provided lanes to go through. Also, the Chiefs moved the chains effectively and converted critical 3rd downs. Mahomes was sacked 0 times, were able to finish 2 for 2 in goal to goal situations and moved their record to 17-3.

Sunday February 13th, 2022: Joe Burrow sacked 7 total times and the Bengals get dealt a heartbreaking 20-23 loss to the Rams. This defeat dropped Cincinnati to an 0-3 record when playing in Super Bowl's. For Bengals during the 2nd quarter they'd come within three after Burrow delivered a pitch to Mixon who then fired a 6-yard touchdown pass to Higgins, 10-13. Then the Bengals would come up with a big play to keep the Rams out the end zone late in the 2nd as Bates stepped in front of Van Jefferson to intercept Matthew Stafford. Unfortunately, no points were scored by the offense off this turnover. Bengals went 2 of 6 on third down, Burrow turned in 114 yards passing on twelve completions and entered halftime facing a 10-13 deficit. But come the 3rd quarter the Bengals would gain their first lead of the game once Burrow rifled a 75-yard touchdown pass to Higgins who made the grab over Jalen Ramsey, thus going up 17-13. This drive took just 1 play for 75 yards. But in the end, the Bengals would have their hearts broken yet again as Joe Burrow was spun around by Aaron Donald before delivering an incomplete pass on 4th down and a turnover on downs would be forced. Tee Higgins snagged two touchdowns for 100 yards, finished 1 of 3 on fourth down and will head back to the drawing board for next season.

Cooper Kupp wins MVP as the Rams knock off the Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl 56. This Victory gives the Rams their first Super Bowl since 1999. Now the Rams would jump out to a quick 1st quarter 7-0 lead thanks to Stafford zipping in a 17-yard passing touchdown to Beckham. This score was setup on a Bengals turnover on downs. Then during the 2nd quarter the Rams would jump out to a 13-3 advantage after Stafford connected with Cooper Kupp in the back of the end zone for an 11-yard touchdown pass. Including a failed two-point conversion as Hekker fumbled the snap on the PAT. Rams scored two 1st half touchdowns to the Bengals one, dominated the red zone by going 2 of 2 and entered the half with a 13-10 advantage. We will now shift over to the 4th quarter where LA snagged a late 23-20 lead after Matthew Stafford delivered a fading 1 yard touchdown strike to Cooper Kupp. This touchdown would eventually prove to be the game winner. Kupp secured two touchdowns for 92 yards, offense finished 1 of 1 on fourth down and they can now party in the city of Los Angeles.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rolled into Super Bowl 55 looking to capture their 2nd Super Bowl Championship in franchise history, with their last win coming back in 2002 and it was against Jerry Rice and his Oakland Raiders, at the time. Including Tom Brady, who was in search for his 7th ring. Before we break this game down...Tampa Bay fans should thank Todd Boles and that brilliant defense he assembled, in order to hold the most high powered offense in the NFL to just 9 points and turned in 3 total sacks, during their blowout win. Now the Bucs broke the games 0-0 tie in the 1st quarter, after Tom Brady completed an 8 yard touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski, taking a then 7-3 lead. This also happened to be Tom Brady's 13th career playoff touchdown pass. Then a Chiefs offsides penalty on a 4th and 5 would lead to Tom Brady completing a 17 yard touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski, who hauled in his 2nd receiving score of the game, and helped Tampa Bay go up 14-3. Tom Brady threw for 3 1st half touchdowns, outscored Kansas City 14-3 and entered halftime up 21-6. Things only intensified for Tampa Bay once they came out the half, following Leonard Fournette bursting for a huge 27 yard touchdown run, extending their lead to 28-9. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers captured their 2nd Super Bowl title, Mahomes was frustrated  and Tom Brady secured his 5th MVP Trophy.

Patrick Mahomes threw for no touchdown strikes on 270 yards passing and the Kansas City Chiefs got charged with 11 penalties for 120 yards and were handled by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, thus losing by score of 9-31.  The Kansas City Chiefs trudged their way into the biggest game of the year, looking to win back to back Super Bowls for the first time since the 2004-2005 Patriots did it. The Chiefs defense came in clutch midway through the 2nd quarter, after stuffing Ronald Jones at the 1 yard line on a 4th and goal play. Keeping the game at 3-7 still. Unfortunately the Chiefs went 1 of 6 on 3rd down, were penalized 8 times for 95 yards and walked into the locker rooms down by 15, 6-21. Then to start the 3rd quarter Clyde Edwards Helaire took off for a 26 yard gain on the ground, which set Kansas City up at the 45 yard line. Kansas City Chiefs(15-4) win their second Super Bowl title in 50 years after holding off a very tough opponent in the 49ers(15-4), winning 31-20. Chiefs had a sluggish start during the 1st half, including overcoming a ten point deficit to win it all. Patrick Mahomes ended his night completing 26 of his 42 passes for 286 yards, two touchdown strikes, to just 2 interceptions & a rushing touchdown. Chiefs late in the 1st quarter saw Pat Mahomes punch it in on a 1 yard rushing touchdown giving Kansas City a 7-3 lead. Coming out the half the game was tied at 10-10, until the Chiefs fell behind by ten 10-20. Mahomes & Kansas City had one more comeback left in them & it started with a great defensive stand, followed by a Pat Mahomes 1 yard passing touchdown to Tight-End, Travis Kelce. Bringing the Chiefs within three, 17-20. The following possession Mahomes would hook up with running back, Damien Williams on a 5 yard touchdown strike 24-20. Chiefs did everything right in the second half, including a deep 3 & 15 connection to Hill & set them up for a Damien Williams 38 yard rushing touchdown to seal Super Bowl 54 with a Victory. Winning by score of 31-20 & Pat Mahomes secures Super Bowl MVP. Damien Williams almost received MVP for the night he had, 17 carries for 104 rushing yards & a touchdown scored. Chiefs did outstanding when it came to converting 3rd & 4th down plays. Chiefs converted 6 of 14 when facing third down, & went 2 of 3 when it came to converting on fourth down plays, including forcing Jimmy G to throw two interceptions & found a way to slow that high powered offense down. After years of waiting Andy Reid can finally be called Super Bowl Champion. Reid's last Super Bowl was with the Eagles & they lost in the 2005 Super Bowl to Tom Brady & the New England Patriots 21-24.

The 49ers lose a heartbreaking Super Bowl 54 by score of 20-31 against a resilient Kansas City Chiefs team, during last night's epic Super Bowl. The 49ers had 351 yards of total offense, along with failing to convert a fourth down play, going 0 for 1 & went 3 of 8 when it came to facing third down plays. 49ers were up by ten points during the second half & had just 7 minutes to kill, but Chiefs had something to say about that. 49ers had a total of 5 penalties for 45 yards during last night's Super Bowl 54 matchup. Despite an ugly, heartbreaking defeat, Jimmy Garoppolo completed 20 of his 31 passes for 219 yards & 1 touchdown strike, to just 2 interceptions. Jimmy G was under pressure from the start last night & with that pressure it caused Garoppolo to throw a late first half interception, followed by second half interception.
