Sunday January 19th, 2025: The Eagles slid past the Rams 28-22. Philadelphia moved on to the NFC Championship game and they'll face the Commanders. Four minutes into the 1st quarter Jalen Hurts on a read option kept the ball and broke for a 44-yard touchdown run but they missed the PAT, 6-0. Next drive Saquaon Barkley broke loose for a 62-yard rushing touchdown, 13-7. This drive took 3 plays for 68 yards and they possessed the ball for 1:34. Philadelphia through one tallied 5 first downs while going 2 of 3 on 3rd and they ran for 115 averaging 19.2 in yards per carry. No red zone or goal to goal trips. 0 turnovers as well. For the running backs they found space off quality blocking and exploited open gaps for big yardage. They capitalized on 3rd down and moved the markers. No turnovers and their pass protection was good. Now they need to find ways to enter the red zone and goal to goal. For the defense their secondary had problems in pass coverage and stopping the run was tough. They let the sticks advance and couldn't protect red zone territory. Poor goal to goal defence and their pass rush was non existent. Despite having 1 sack. Late in the 2nd quarter Jalen Hurts on 3rd and 23 was sacked by Jared Verse for -8 yards. Philly through two had 7 first downs and converted 3 3rd downs on 4 tries. Hurts threw for 35 yards and they rushed for 56. No red zone or goal to goal trips. Including 0 turnovers. Philadelphia ran the ball effectively due to solid blocking and moved the sticks. Did tremendous on 3rd down. Too bad they had no red zone or goal to goal appearances. They also need to protect the ball better. They haven't turned it over but they've fumbled multiple times and got it back. Along with a bad pass protection. Now their QB had a good completion percentage but he threw for low yardage. Defensively, their secondary deiened the pass by swatting balls or contesting Recivers. They took away chain movement and got off the field on 3rd down. No red zone or goal to goal trips were allowed. To make matters better they bottled up the run. Now their pass rush was in-effective and they created no takeaways. Making 4th down stops was a slight issue too. Philadelphia was 5 of 8 on 3rd down, had 171 yards rushing averaging 10.1 in yards per carry and they went into halftime with a 13-10 lead. Now midway into quarter 3 Jalen Hurts threw a 31-yard pass completion to Goedert. Few plays later Elliott knocked in a 44-yard field goal, 16-13. The following possession ended with Elliott sinking a 37-yard field goal, 22-15. Later in Barkley broke for a huge 78-yard rushing touchdown but they missed the PAT, 28-15. Philly in the 4th snagged 1 first downs while going 0 of 4 on 3rd. Hurts passed for 19 yards and they rushed for 96. 0 for 1 in the red zone and 0 for 1 in goal to goal. Philadelphia added 16 first downs with 9 being in the run and they went 6 of 15 on 3rd. Hurts delivered 128 and they secured 285 on the ground. Finished 0 for 2 in the red zone and 0 for 1 in goal to goal. The Eagles effectively ran the ball on good blocking and they moved the markers. Did well on 4th down and never turned it over. However, their pass protection was terrible and they struggled on 3rd down. Had a difficult time in the red zone and showed poor execution in goal to goal. For the Quarterback he had a good completion percentage but threw for low yardage. Defensively, their secondary had struggles in pass coverage and let some passes get behind them. Stopping the run was an issue and they had trouble protecting goal to goal. They couldn't stop chain movement ethier. Luckily their pass rush got to the QB for 5 sacks while forcing knockdowns or hurries. Denied 3rd down conversions and restricted red zone territory. Philly avargwer 8.4 in yards per carry, had 350 yards of total offense and they improved to a 15-3 record.
The Rams late surge was cut short and it led to a 22-28 loss against the Eagles. Los Angeles was eliminated from the Postseason. In the 1st quarter on 4th and 1 Kyren Williams secured a 4-yard run. Three plays later Stafford found Higher for a 4-yard touchdown pass, 7-6. This drive lasted 13 plays for 67 yards and they controlled the ball for 5:18. LA in one had 6 first downs and went 2 for 4 on 3rd. Stafford passed for 88 yards and they rushed for 37 while averaging 6.2 in yards per carry. 0 turnovers too. 1 for 1 in the red zone and 1 for 1 in goal to goal. Los Angeles moved the sticks and their pass protection was good. Executed in red zone and goal to goal situations. Did solid on 4th down as well. Now they weren't running for a lot of yards but their per carry total was good. So Stafford completed quality passes over the middle, at the sideline or occasionally deep downfield. On defense their secondary did excellent in pass coverage by swatting balls away or contesting Recivers. Let's not forget they eliminated red zone and goal to goal trips. Now they gave up chain movement and couldn't contain the run. Heading to quarter 2 Karty drilled a 30-yard field goal, 10-13. Keep note it was a Stafford 48-yard pass completion to Robinson that set this field goal up. Los Angeles capped off quarter 2 by snagging 1 first down and went 0 for 2 on 3rd. Stafford delivered 38 yards passing and they gained 14 on the ground. No red zone or goal to goal opportunities. 0 turnovers too. The Rams had 51 yards rushing while averaging 5.1 in yards per carry, Stafford was 10 of 15 for a 126 and they entered halftime behind 10-13. Transitioning to the 3rd quarter on 3rd and 4 Matthew Stafford completed a 30-yard pass to Cooper Kupp. After that, Kyren Williams ran for a 30-yard gain before getting tackled by Baun. Four plays later Karty drained a 34-yard field goal, 13-13. Now with no time left in the quarter Gallinore sacked Jalen Hurts in the end zone for a safety, 15-16. The Rams added 2 first downs while going 1 of 4 on 3rd. Stafford passed for 37 and they ran for 54. Were 0 for 1 in the red zone with no goal to goal opportunities. On the Rams second possession of the 4th quarter Stafford fumbled after Baun forced a sacked and it allowed Smith to recover the ball. This would be back to back fumbles for the Rams offense. On the third possession Stafford found Parkinson for a 4-yard touchdown pass, 22-28. The very next possession Stafford threw a 37-yard pass completion to Puka Nacua who kept both in bounds. In conclusion, with 31 seconds left Stafford on 4th and 11 had his pass fall incomplete for a turnover on downs. LA in four had 8 first downs and went 3 of 6 on 3rd. Stafford passed for 162 and they ran for 6. Were 1 for 1 in the red zone and 1 for 1 in goal to goal. The Rams tallied 18 first downs with 15 coming in the air and they finished 6 of 16 on 3rd. Stafford threw for 324 yards and they rushed for 111. Went 2 for 5 in the red zone and 2 for 3 in goal to goal. First off, Matthew Stafford completed most of his passes across the middle, close to the sideline or at times deep down field. Moved the sticks effectively and executed in goal to goal. Also, they ran the ball fluently due to good blocking. Now they were struggling on 3rd down and turned it over. Made red zone and goal to goal stops as well. Their pass protection was hernendous though. On defense their secondary did a great in pass coverage because they kept everything in front. Got Philadelphia off the field on 3rd and their pass rush was effective. Limited red zone and goal to goal opportunities. Now containing the run was difficult and they let the chains advance. Created no turnovers too. LA averaged 5.3 in yards per carry, gained 402 yards of total offense and they fell to a 11-8 record.

Saturday January 18th, 2025: The Texans suffered a 14-23 loss to the Chiefs. Houston has been eliminated from the Playoffs. During the 1st quarter C.J. Stroud found Schultz for a 34-yard pass completion. Now their 10 play drive saw Fairbairn sink a 30-yard field goal, 3-3. Only positive of this quarter was their passing attack. Houston in one secured 4 first downs and went 2 for 4 on 3rd. Stroud passed for 67 passing and they rushed for for 26 while averaging 3.6. Were 0 for 1 in the red zone with no goal to goal trips. 0 turnovers too. Then in the 2nd quarter C.J. Stroud broke loose for a 28-yard run before getting tackled by Hicks. Four plays later Fairbairn missed a 55-yard field goal and the score stayed the same. Later on as time was winding down Fairbairn hit a 48-yard field goal, 6-13. Only good thing going was Houston's rush attack. The Texans through two added 4 first downs while going 2 for 4 on 3rd and they picked up 70 yards rushing. Stroud threw for 35 yards with no turnovers. No red zone or goal to goal appearances. Houston was 4 of 8 on 3rd down, averaged 5.6 in yards per carry and they entered halftime trailing 6-13. Switching to quarter 3 Stroud on 3rd and 1 threw a 12-yard pass completion to Collins. Later, on the same drive Mixon ran into the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown but they missed the PAT, 12-13. This drive lasted 15 plays for 82 yards and they controlled the ball for 25:20. Houston in the 3rd secured 5 first downs and went 4 for 4 on 3rd. Stroud passed for 50 yards and they ran for 51. Were 1 for 1 in the red zone too. Their pass/run ratio was effective. Their QB completed passes across the middle or toward the sideline and their backs ran the ball fluently due to good blocking. No turnovers and they ate clock. They moved the markers and executed on 3rd. They capitalized in red zone territory and kept turnovers low. Too bad they made 0 goal to goal entries. Their pass protection was good as well. First off, the defense their secondary did well in pass coverage. Kept chain movement low and they contained the run by clogging gaps. Allowed 0 red zone and goal to goal trips. Their pass rush does need to be better moving forward. Transitioning to the 4th quarter C.J. Stroud on 4th and 10 was sacked by Karlaftis for -16 yards which forced a turnover on downs. With little time left Chiefs counter Arazia ran out of bounds to give Houston a safety, 14-23. Houston in the 4th had 4 first downs and went 2 for 3 on 3rd. Stroud threw for 85 yards and they picked up 4 on the ground. No red zone or goal to goal trips. The Texans tallied 18 first downs with 12 being in the air and they finished 10 of 17 on 3rd. Stroud passed for 245 yards and they rushed for 149 1 for 3 in the red zone with no goal to gosl. So Stroud completed quality passes over the middle or at the sideline. Did an excellent job on 3rd down and moved the markers. Also due to tremendous blocking it allowed their running backs to find space for chunk yardage. No turnovers ethier. On the flip side they had struggles in the red zone and made 0 goal to goal entries. Their pass protection was absolutely terrible and they showed poor execution on 4th. Also 2 missed kicks and 1 blocked. For the defense their secondary allowed passing yards but they kept everything in front. Restricted the run by closing open lanes and they shutdown red zone territory. Not to mention their pass rush was quiet effective last night and they made 3rd down stops. Outside of that they permitted goal to goal entries and let the chains move. Stroud was sacked 8 times for 58 yards, averaged 5.1 in yards per carry and they stumbled down to an 11-8 record.
The Chiefs knocked off the Texans 23-14. Mahomes in the Divisional round is 7-0 and Kansas City advanced to the AFC Championship for a 7th straight year. By the way Head Coach Andy Reid earned his 300th career Victory. In quarter 1 Remingo on the kickoff returned it for 63-yards and fumbled but Luckily his teammate jumped on it. Also a 15-yard penalty was enforced after Boyd took his helmet off and threw it. Too bad this 4 play drive ended with a Butker 32-yard field goal, 3-0. Next drive Butker capped off 9 plays by drilling a 36-yard field goal, 6-3. The Chiefs through one tallied 3 first downs and went 0 for 2 on 3rd down. Mahomes threw for 47 yards and they gained -2 on the ground. Averaged -0.5 in yards per carry and no turnovers. 0 for 2 in red zone territory and 0 for 1 in goal to goal. Pushing to the 2nd quarter Patrick Mahomes connected with Kelce for a 49-yard pass completion. Three plays later on 3rd and goal Kareem Hunt scampered into the end zone for a 1-yard touchdown run, 13-3. Kansas City in two tallied 4 first downs and went 2 for 3 on 3rd. Mahomes passed for 81 yards and they rushed for 7. Were 1 for 1 in the red zone and 1 for 1 in goal to goal. 0 turnovers too. Mahomes got the ball quick going toward the sideline or across the middle and the Receivers did a nice job of creating separation. They were effective in red zone and goal to goal situations. No turnovers ethier. Now their pass protection was a bit bleak and they struggled to run due to bad blocking. They converted on 3rd down too. Too bad they barely moved the sticks. Defensively, their secondary was excellent in pass coverage by swatting balls away or contesting Recivers. Their pass rush got to Stroud for multiple sacks and they controlled the line of scrimmage. Denied red zone and goal to goal trips. Also shutdown chain movement. Although, they need to do a better job at stopping the run because their got torched in that department. Mahomes passed for 114 total yards while going 2 for 5 on 3rd down, rushed for 19 averaging 2.1 in yards per carry and went into halftime leading 13-6. Now Kansas City capped off quarter 3 by snagging 2 first downs while going 1 for 2 on 3rd and Mahomes passed for 18. Rushed for 13 with no red zone trips. 0 goal to goals too. Shifting to the 4th quarter Kareem Hunt on 4th and 1 picked up a 3-yard gain. Five plays later Mahomes while falling down delivered an 11-yard touchdown pass to Kelce, 20-12. Next possession Butker drianed a 27-yard field goal, 23-12. KC through four added 4 first downs and went 1 for 4 on 3rd. Mahomes threw for 42 yards and they gained 29 on the ground. Were 1 for 2 in the red zone and 1 for 2 in goal to goal. The Chiefs secured 14 first downs and went 4 of 11 on 3rd. Mahomes delivered 177 yards passing and they rushed for 50. Finished 2 for 5 in the red zone and 2 for 3 in goal to goal. Kansas City moved the sticks and executed in goal to goal with no turnovers. For the Quarterback he had a good completion percentage but threw for low yardage. For the most part their pass protection was sluggish and they were insufficient in red zone territory. Also, they ran the ball poorly due to bad blocking. Firstly, their secondary in the 2nd half had trouble in pass coverage. They let the sticks move and couldn't get off the field on 3rd. No turnovers were created and they couldn't stop the run. Now they took away red zone opportunities and kept Houston out of goal to goal. Pass rush did their job by forcing sacks and getting QB knockdowns or hurries. Kansas City averaged 2.3 in yards per carry, had 212 yards of total offense with 3 sacks and they moved to a 16-2 record.

Sunday January 21st, 2024: The Buccaneers sustained a heartbreaking 23-31 loss to the Lions. In one Mayfield threw for 49 yards and they ran for 35. Went 1 for 3 on 3rd. Baker Mayfield found his Receivers across the middle with quality pass completions and their rushers exposed space off good blocking. Too bad their struggling to advance the chains and couldn't convert on 3rd. Can't even make red zone or goal to goal appearances. By the way the only reason Mayfield threw a pick was because Mike Evans couldn't hold on to the ball. Anyways, their pass protection definitely needs to better. Defensively, their secondary gave up passomg yards but at times they were able to bat a few balls down. They protected the red zone territory and goal to goal situations as well. Moving to quarter 2 Mayfield fired a 2 yard touchdown strike to Otton, 10-10. Tampa Bay in ended the 2nd by picking up 6 first downs and went 1 of 1 in red zone territory. Went 1 for 1 in goal to goal while Mayfield threw for 122 yards and ran for 34. Baker Mayfield with much better protection darted his pass completion over the middle and their rushers found space off excellent blocking. They moved the markers effectively and went 2 of 4 on 3rd. Executed on their only red zone and goal to goal trip of the game. No turnovers as well. For the defense they finally applied enough pressure to force a sack and shutdown the run by stuffing open lanes. Keep note they worked for that 1 sack but they'll need more moving forward. The Bucs restricted red zone opportunities and allowed zero goal to goal trips. Unfortunately, their secondary in pass coverage seemingly struggled. The Buccaneers walked into halftime knotted at 10-10. Heading to the 3rd quarter Mayfield found White for a 12 yard touchdown pass, 17-17. The Bucks snagged 4 first downs and went 1 of 3 on 3rd. Including Mayfield throwing for 66 yards and rushed for 18. 1 for 1 in red zone territory. Baker Mayfield spotted his Receivers over the middle and toward the sideline. They also capitalized in red zone territory and the pass protection was better after allowing 1 sack. Although, they rarely advanced the chains and were insufficient on 3rd down. No goal to goal appearances and the run game was shutdown off bad blocking or the defense closed gaps. Speaking of defense Tampa Bay stuffed running lanes and made 3rd down stops. Their secondary gave up yards through the air while being unable to protect red zone or goal to goal situations. No pressure was applied to the QB ethier. Shifting to the 4th quarter the Mayfield on 4th and 14 hooked up with Mike Evans for a 24 yard pass completion. After that, Baker Mayfield fired a 16 yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans but failed the 2-point try, 23-31. Mayfield threw for 74 yards and went 0 of 2 on 3rd. Got 4 first downs to go along. So Mayfield completed quality passes to his Wide Receivers that created space off excellent route running. Keep note in this quarter alone they had zero rushing yards due to Tampa Bay's pass game. Were solid in red zone territory and barely moved the markers with decent pass protection. Had a turnover as well. Defense got punished on the ground and their secondary allowed a bunch of passing yards. It doesn't help either that they showed poor execution to stop red zone or goal to goal trips. Let the chains move aggressively too. One positive was their ability to make stops on 3rd down. The Buccaneers attached 23 first downs with 18 in the air and went 4 of 12 on 3rd. Turned it over twice and finished 3 for 3 in the red zone. Along with going 1 for 1 in goal to goal.
The Lions surpassed the Buccaneers by a final score of 31-23. Detroit advances to the NFC Championship for the first time since 1991 and will face the 49ers. Goff through one threw for 34 yards on 6 of 10 passing and rushed for 28. Were 0 of 1 in both red zone and goal to goal moments. Including 5 first downs. Jared Goff with excellent protection completed his passes over the middle and Recovers created separation off solid route running. Moved the sticks and went 2 for 4 on 3rd Now they struggled to get the run going due to poor blocking or the defense stuffed gaps. They also had issues executing in the red zone and in goal to goal. On defense their secondary gave up some air yards but kept everything in front of them and forced an INT. Along with their D-line applying pressure to the QB by forcing 2 sacks. Now this defense also made stops on 3rd and limited first downs. More importantly they allowed zero red zone and goal to goal trips. They just need to be better against the run. During the 2nd quarter Detroit ended a 14 play drive with Goff delivering a 9 yard touchdown pass in the back of the end zone to Reynolds, 10-3. To close out quarter 2 Jared Goff passed for 65 yards with 4 first downs added and rushed for 27. Went 0 for 1 in the red zone. Jared Goff was forcing Tampa Bay's defense when completing his passes through the middle of the field and moved the sticks well. Went 2 of 4 on 3rd down and didn't execute on their only red zone trip of the quarter. Now the Lions pass protection minus that sack allowed kept Goff's pocket clean. Defense had a real hard time stoping the run and their secondary had problems defending the pass. That includes their D-line applying little to no pressure on Mayfield and that has to change come the second half. To make matters worse they couldn't protect red zone or goal to goal situations. The Lions were a total 3 for 7 on 3rd down, risjed for 99.amd entered halftime tied at 10-10. In quarter 3 the Reynolds on 4th and goal burst into the end zone for a 1 yard touchdown, 17-10. This drive lasted 10 plays for 64 yards and possessed the ball for 4:23. Goff in three threw for 57 yards while going 0 of 1 on 3rd and picked up 3 first downs. Ran for 14 yards and were 1 of 1 in the red zone. 1 for 1 in goal to goal as wel. The Lions hardly moved the sticks and were poor on 3rd down converting. Not to mention their lacking a run game because the line wasn't providing much space. Now they did excute in both red zone and goal to goal while Goff completed his solid passes across the middle. Pass protection kept their Quarterback's pocket clean and turnovers were a non factor. Then on defense their secondary got lit up in pass coverage and couldn't keep Tampa Bay out of the red zone. Granite, they allowed zero goal to goal trips and pressured Mayfield constantly. Look, they got the QB for 1 sack but their doing a nice job of getting into the backfield and forcing throw aways. Got off the field on 3rd down as well. In the 4th quarter Goff on 1st down heaved an 18 yard pass completion to Josh Reynolds and it put his team at the Tampa Bay 43 yard line. Two plays later Josh Reynolds scampered into the end zone for a 1 yard touchdown run, 24-17. To conclude the 4th quarter Jared Goff threw for 135 yards and were 1 of 3 on 3rd. Can't exclude their ability to secure 58 on the ground and gained 10.forst downs. Went 1 for 1 in the red zone and 1 of 1 in goal to goal. Jared Goff with quality protection dotted his Receivers going across the middle and close to the sideline. They moved the chains constructively and their rushers exposed space off terrific blocking. Capitalized in the red zone and in goal to goal. Now they did struggle on 3rd down. In this quarter the defense got to Mayfield for 1 sack and their secondary in pass coverage under cut routes which led to a few interceptions. Defended 3rd down well and limited the sticks. They allowed Tampa Bay to execute in the red zone but let up zero goal to goal trips. The Lions picked up 26 first downs with 18 coming in the air and finished 6 of 14 on 3rd. Went 3 for 4 on the red zone and 2 of 3 in goal to goal. Ran for 114 yards and were 1 of 1 on 4th. Now Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield completed their passes over the the middle or on the outside and at times went deep. So each team as a whole snagged a lot of first downs while executing in the red zone and I'm goal to goal. By the way the Bucs had 1 goal to goal appearance all game long but despite that they were still effecient. Any who......they both ran the ball effectively due to solid blocking up front and executed on 4th. Luckily the Lions were more effective on 3rd down and scored the most touchdowns. Detroit also won the turnover battle and had a better pass protection. Goff was sacked just twice. Defensively, thet failed to stop both the run and pass game. Let's not forget they couldn't protect red zone and goal to goal situations. It's just unfortunate that they allowed 4th down converting. Look, Detroit's defense acquired more turnovers and their pass rush got to the QB for 4 sacks. Also, the Lions late denied Tampa Bay from scoring as the last drive of the game ended with Mayfield getting picked off.

Saturday January 20th, 2024: The Texans in the Divisional round got knocked off by the Ravens after losing 10-34. Houston has now been eliminated from the playoffs. Houston through one recorded 4 first downs while going 2 of 5 on 3rd and rushed for 6 yards. 0 giveaways with no sacks and C.J. Stroud threw for 82. Stroud completed his passes short across the middle or on the outside and had excellent protection up front. Unfortunately, they were struggling to move the chains and couldn't convert on 3rd. Made no red zone or goal to goal appearances ethier. Run game was also lacking because of poor blocking. Then on defense their secondary kept everything in front of them and swatted balls down. Too bad they had problems stopping the run and tallied 0 sacks. During the 2nd quarter Steven Sims would break loose for a 67 yard punt return touchdown and it knotted the game at 10-10. Stroud in the 2nd threw for 44 yards and ran for 7 while picking up 2 first downs. Went 1 of 3 on 3rd with 0 sacks allowed. Stroud found his Recovers deep over the middle for quality pass completions and the O-line provided protection. However, Houston still had issues running the ball thanks to poor blocking and hardly moved the sticks. Not to mention they showed an inability to execute on 3rd. Still no red zone or goal to goal trips as well. As for the defense their secondary continued to frustrate the Ravens pass game by batting balls down and making tackles. Along with their D-line applying pressure in the backfield and getting to Jackson for 3 sacks. Need to do better at containing the run though. Fairbairn missed a late 1st half field goal, were a total 3 for 8 on 3rd and went I to the half knotted up at 10-10. Houston closed out quarter 3 by gaining 3 first downs and went 2 for 2 on 3rd. Stroud threw for 10 yards and they ran for 17. C.J. Stroud was struggling to his compete his passes and couldn't read the field long enough to find his targets. Pass protection had Stroud running for his life. Also, their ground game was in-effective due to poor blocking and barely kept the chains moving. No red zone or goal to goal appearances ethier. Although, they executed on 3rd down. Defense got torched on the run and their secondary gave up air yards. D-line also got slowed down in the sack department. In the 4th quarter Houston earned 0 first downs and went 0 for 2 on third and Stroud passed for 11 yards. Ran for 7 and were outscored 17-0. Stroud had a tough time scanning the field which led to incomplete passes and their run was lacking due to poor blocking. Recivers hardly got open or generated space. They were insufficient on third and picked up no first downs. To make their situation worse they made no appearances in the red zone or in goal to goal. Houston picked up 10 1st downs with 8 coming in the air and ran rushed for 38 yards. Finalized 4 of 12 on 3rd and 0 for 1 on 4th. 0 trips to the red zone and in goal to goal. Took 11 penalties for 70 yards and scored 1 touchdown.
The Ravens got rolling in the second half and it led to a 34-10 win against the Texans. Baltimore is heading to the AFC championship and will meet the winners of KC vs Buffalo. In the 1st quarter Lamar Jackson on 3rd and 12 while being knockdown complete a 9 yard pass to Bateman but it wasn't enough to move the chains. A play later Justin Tucker drained a 53 yard field goal, 3-0. This drive lasted 9 plays for 41 yards and controlled the ball for 4:55. Baltimore in one picked up 4 first downs and went 0 of 2 on 3rd with 0 turnovers. Jackson threw for 29 yards and ran for 43 while averaging 6.1 per carry. Lamar Jackson wasn't sacked but was under a lot pressure as it forced him to throw incomplete passes and got knocked down a few times. If passes were completed it was close to the sideline. They struggled to convert on 3rd down and rarely moved the markers. No red zone or goal to goal to trips ethier. Luckily they were able to get their run game going as they exploited open gaps for positive yards. Excellent run blocking as well. Defensively, their secondary early gave up yards through the air but nothing deep and clogged running lanes. In the 2nd quarter the Ravens would take the lead back after Jackson completed a 3 yard touchdown pass to Agholor thus going up 10-3. Lamar Jackson ended the 2nd by throwing for 24 yards and they rushed for 40 with 3 first downs added. Went 2 for 5 on 3rd while going 1 of 1 in both the red zone and in goal to goal. First off, Lamar Jackson is being held up in the pocket due to his pass protection collaspsing and its leading to incomplete throws or he's holding the ball a bit too long. If a pass is completed then it's mostly short toward the sideline. Couldn't move the sticks and were in effective on 3rd. To make matters worse all three of the Ravens possessions ended in three and outs. Luckily Baltimore had great run blocking which helped their backs expose space for chunk yardage. Executed in the red zone and in goal to goal situations as well. On defense the secondary in pass coverage had their fair share of struggles and applied no pressure or sacks to the QB but got Houston off the field on 3rd and stopped the run by clogging gaps. Ravens had 52 yards passing in total, were 2 of 7 on 3rd and entered halftime tied at 10-10. Jumping to the 3rd quarter ran up the middle of the field for a 15 yard touchdown and it extended the Ravens lead to 17-10. The Ravens exited the 3rd by adding 5 first downs and went 2 of 2 on 3rd. Went 1 for 1 in the red zone and ran for 38 yards. Jackson threw for 71 as well. Lamar Jackson with tremendous protection up front had time to read the field and delivered his pass completions over the middle. Wide Receivers did a great job of creating. separation as well. Now thanks to great blocking it allowed their rushers to exploit wiggle room for huge yardage. They also moved the chains effectively and did great on 3rd. Let's not forget they were solid in red zone territory but made zero goal to goal trips. The defense on the other hand contained Stroud and put enough pressure to force throw aways or incomplete passes. Along with the secondary doing well in pass coverage by swatting down balls and stuffing the run game. Although, the D-line needs to rack up sacks and their not doing that. Keep note Baltimore leads the league with 60 sacks. In the 4th quarter the Ravens lead continued to grow after Jackson darted Likely for a 15 yard touchdown pass, 24-10. The Ravens in the fourth secured 5 first downs and went 1 for 3 on 3rd. Were 2 of 2 in the red zone with no goal to goal appearances. Jackson threw for 75. Jackson didn't throw the ball for many yards but that was due to the run game taking off and blocking up front was good. Executed in the red zone yet they entered goal to goal zero times and had issues on 3rd. For the defense they slowed down the run and took away Stroud's passing game. Eliminated third down too. Baltimore snagged 22 first downs while earning 10 in the air and ran for 229 yards. Went 4 for 12 on 3rd and finished 4 of 4 in the red zone. Were 1 for 1 in goal to goal and 2 for 2 on 4th. So Stroud and Jackson completed their passes deep over the middle or short toward to the sideline. Some missed opportunities by Houston and Baltimore collectively woke up in the 2nd half on both sides of the ball. Started doing everything right. So each team arvanced the sticks and kept turnovers low but struggled on 3rd. At the end of the game, Baltimore showed more effecientcy in the red zone or in goal to goal, scored the most and capitalized on 4th down. More importantly the Ravens off excellent blocking were able to run for big gains. At least Houston had better pass protection. Keep in mind though the Ravens pass blocking allowed zero sacks in the 2nd half but started rough as you can see up above. Defensively, both secondaries kept most of the passes in front of them and made stops on 3rd down. It's just unfortunate that they each let the sticks pile up. In conclusion, the Ravens defense did great against the run by stuffing lanes, restricted red zone or goal to goal trips and got off the field on 4th. With that being said.....the Texans pass rush was more effective as they won at the line of scrimmage but were penalized way too many times in yesterday's loss. Keep in mind they had only 3 or 4 in their wildcard win last week.

Sunday January 22nd, 2023: The 49ers survive the Cowboys after earning a big 19-12 win. This sends the 49ers to Philadelphia for the NFC Title game and moved to 12 victories in a row. In the 1st quarter a Dak Prescott pick would lead to a Gould 26 yard field goal, 3-0. Niners gained 3 first downs with 2 coming on the pass and went 2 for 5 on 3rd. Including 13 yards rushing with 1 first down tallied. Brock Purdy is getting the ball out quick to his playmakers and did most of his damage towards the sidelines but their running game has struggled due to lanes not opening up. The Niners also need to execute better on 3rd down and move the sticks more efficiently. Then in quarter 2 Robby Gould would drill in a 47 yard field goal, 6-6. This drive went 10 plays for 41 yards and they controlled the ball for 5:42. San Francisco capped off quarter 2 by reeling in 4 first downs and went 2 for 3 on 3rd with 0 red zone trips. That also includes Purdy throwing for 57 yards and their rushers ran for 14. The Niners pass game got going as Purdy completed quick passes through the middle of the field but continued to run the ball poorly. Keep note that Purdy's pass attempts came on short routes or intermediates. 49ers capitalized much better by winning most of their first down battles and were efficient on 3rd yet they remained harmless in the red zone. Defensively they've done a great job of getting Dallas off the field when 3rd down arises and pressured Prescott just enough to force him into a few turns. The 49ers were a total 5 for 9 on 3rd doen, held the ball for 15:42 and slipped into the half leading 9-6. Now the Niners concluded a scoreless 3rd quater by pulling in 6 first downs and faced 0 3rd down attempts due to each play going 8 or more yards when using the pass and run. The Niners kept possessions going by executing well on 3rd down and were successful in moving the chains. San Francisco also ran the ball much better and Purdy started attacking deep downfield as most of his completions came through the middle of the field. Now in the 4th quarter San Francisco would add the ultimate dagger after McCaffrey scampered into the end zone for a 2 yard score, 16-9. Keep note that this touchdown was set up on Kittle hauling in a bobbling 46 yard reception. San Francisco ends the 4th quarter by hauling in 7 first downs and went 2 for 4 on 3rd while outscoring Dallas 10-3. Niners earned 21 first downs with 11 coming in the air and went 7 of 14 in 3rd and 1 for 3 in the red zone. As well picking up 7 first downs on 113 yards rushing. Purdy threw the ball pretty well as he made quick deliveries through the middle of the field and their rushers found a ton of space to go through on good blocking. Purdy in the 2nd half did a great job of completing his passes for huge gains due to Recivers running solid routes and making quakity catches. Niners hammered Dallas when moving the sticks and were efficient on 3rd down but seemingly had a tough time inside the red zone. 49ers managed to go 1 for 3 in goal to goal, Purdy three for 214 yards and improved to a 15-4 record.
Cowboys stunned on the road against the 49ers after going down 12-19. Cowboys have been eliminated from the Postseason and it's been 27 years since they got past the second round. Cowboys first possession of the 1st quarter would end in 5 plays after Prescott's pass to Schultz fell incomplete with Omenihu in coverage. Cowboys through one picked up 2 first downs which came on the pass and went 0 for 2 on 3rd with Prescott throwing for only 30 yards. The Cowboys pass/run ratio has been shutdown as Prescott struggled to read the defenses and their rushers couldnt find holes to go through due to poor blocking. They've also had problems converting on both 1st and 3rd down with 1 turnover added. Later on in the 2nd quarter Prescott would cap off a long 14 play drive by finding Schultz for a 4 yard touchdown pass but Maher would miss the PAT, 6-3. Cowboys ended the 2nd by securing 2 first downs and went 0 for 1 on 3rd while matching the 49ers with 6 points each. Cowboys would lose Tony Pollard due to suffering a severe ankle injury and did not return. Pollard was taken off the field on a cart. Dallas at this point in time were running the ball effectively on quality blocks and Prescott was given enough time in the pocket to deliver short passes towards the sidelines or in the middle of the field. They kept drives going on solid 4th down converting as well. However, they've had issues in moving the sticks and weren't as effective on 3rd. As for their defense they did a nice job of plugging run lanes and pressured Purdy a ton which forced 2 sacks or overthrown targets. Niners were 2 for 2 on 4th, went a total 2 for 6 on 3rd and entered the half down 6-9. Brett Maher late in the 3rd would help Dallas even this bout up after knocking in a 25 yard field goal, 9-9. Cowboys wrapped up the 3rd quarter by turning in 3 first downs while going 1 for 4 on 3rd and outscored the Niners 3-0. Prescott would also throw for 70 yards and their backs ran for 14. Prescott on the pass was able to attack San Francisco's defense on short or intermediates routes and got the protection he needed from up front yet their run game was flat due to poor blocking. You see the trend? The line did well on the pass but have to open up more holes for their rushers. Dallas had issues on 3rd down as they struggled to convert and rarely moved the chains. Shifting into the 4th quarter Maher would bring Dallas a little closer as he sunk in a 46 yard field goal but trailed 12-19. Cowboys in the 4th attached 3 first downs while finishing 2 for 5 on 3rd and appeared in the red zone just once. Dallas picked up 9 of theor 15 total first downs when delivering a pass and finished 5 of 15 on 3rd and 1 for 3 in red zone territory. That includes 76 yards rushing with 5 first downs. Cowboys down the strech couldn't buy a 1st down while struggling on 3rd and were unable to execute in the red area. As for their pass/run ratio Prescott got the ball out quick to his playmaking Recivers who gained quality yards after the catch and their rushers found open lanes to bust through due to good blocking. Dallas racked up 282 yards of total offense, went 1 for 2 in goal to goal and fell to a 13-6 record.

Saturday January 21st, 2023: Jaguars falter to the Chiefs after sustaining a difficult 20-27 loss. This defeat helps Jacksonville end 2023 at .500 and have been officially eliminated from the Postseason. The Jaguars would respond with a score of their own as Trevor Lawerence delivered a 10 yard touchdown pass to Kirk, 7-7. This drive lasted 5 plays for 30 yards and controlled the ball for 2:52. Jags in one snagged 2 first downs with 1 coming in the air and went 1 for 2 on 3rd. Including 22 yards rushing. Despite a tie, the Jags looked flat due to a poor rushing attack and Lawrence struggled to read the field. They've also had issues winning first down battles and weren't as effective on 3rd. During the 2nd quarter the Jags would inch within seven after Patterson drilled in a 41 yard field goal,10-17. Jacksonville capped off quarter 2 by securing 6 first downs and went 1 for 3 on 3rd while getting outscored 10-3. Including 57 yards passing and ran for 45. The Jaguars offense started to do much better on both sides of the ball. As Lawrence was given time in the pocket to deliver quick intermediate routes towards the sidelines and their backs had lanes to bust through due to good blocking. Jacksonville dominated the sticks but struggled in 3rd and had 0 red zone trips. Jags were a total 2 for 5 on 3rd, secured 8 first downs and entered the half down 10-17. In a scoreless 3rd quarter the Jaguars hauled in 3 first downs and went 2 for 4 on 3rd with 26 yards rushing. Offensively Jacksonville had a tough time running the ball due to lanes not opening up and Lawrence was struggling to read the defense. Also holding the ball to long as he's gone twice. Now the Jags did do an alright job at keeping possession alive when faced with a 3rd down situation but had issues moving the sticks and remained threatless in the red zone. We now turn our attentions to the 4th quarter, where Travis Etienne would break free for a 4 yard touchdown run, 17-20. Jaguars wrapped up quarter 4 by securing 2 of their 5 total first downs in the air and went 2 for 3 on 3rd with Lawrence throwing for 74 yards. Jacksonville would finalize their afternoon by dialing up 20 first downs while 11 of those came on the pass and finished 7 of 12 on 3rd and 2 for 3 in the red zone. Jaguars earned 9 first downs on 144 yards rushing as well. Jags offense throughout the day ran the ball well but from time to time they were slowed down due to blockers not providing any open lanes. As for their pass attack Lawrence did most of his damage in the 2nd half when making completions towards the sidelines or through the middle of the field. Although, it wasn't pretty at times because Lawrence and his Recivers weren't all synced in as passes were ethier overthrown, turned over or Receivers couldn't hang on to the ball. Jacksonville moved the markers at a high rate as well and managed to keep drives going on 3rd down. Also capitalized in the red area. Jags piled in 349 yards of total offense, outscored kansas City 10-7 in the 4th and dropped off to a 9-9 record.
Chiefs hold off the Jaguars after gaining a 27-20 win. Chiefs now advance to the AFC title game for a 5th straight year and will meet the winner of Buffalo vs Bengals. Patrick Mahomes in the 1st quarter would find Travis Kelce for an 8 yard touchdown pass, 7-0. This drive went 12 plays for 83 yards and they possessed the ball for 6:00. Chiefs through one reeled in 9 first downs with 5 coming in the air and went 2 of 2 on 3rd and 1 for 1 in the red zone. They ran for 37 yards while snagging 3 first downs. Keep note that Patrick Mahomes would leave due to an ankle injury and had to be replaced by Henne. The Chiefs got their pass/run ratio clicking as Mahomes got the ball out quickly to his playmakers who gained yards after the catch and their rushers followed blocks for positive gains. They also executed well in the red zone and were efficient on 1st and 3rd downs. Goimg into the 2nd quarter Henne would cap off a 12 play drive by delivering a 1 yard touchdown pass to Kelce, thus going up 17-7.. Chiefs in the 2nd pulled in 4 first downs while going 1 of 1 on 3rd and 1 for 1 in the red area. Also ran for 60 yards and henne threw for 19. The Chiefs continuted to to dominate on both the run and pass game. Kansas City kept finding holes to run theough and backup Quarterback Chad Henne delivered quick strikes on intermediate routes. Chiefs managed to do a good job of winning first down battles and were efficient on 3rd and inside the red zone. Chiefs raked in 203 yards of total offense, were a total 5 for 6 on 3rd and slipped into halftime leading 17-10. Be aware that Mahomes would return from his ankle injury at the start of the 3rd quarter. Shifting into the late stages of the 3rd quarter Mahomes would find Gray for a huge 27 yard pass completion and it set his team up at the 34 yard line. Unfortunately, this short 5 play drive would end with a Butker 50 yard field goal, 20-10. Chiefs ended the 3rd by gaining 3 first downs and manged to go 1 for 4 on 3rd while outscoring Jacksonville 3-0. That also includes 11 yards rushing and Mahomes threw for 50. Chiefs struggled to run the ball as lanes were hard to come by but on the pass game Mahomes did his damage through the middle the field and got the ball out quickly. Moving forward Kansas City's O-Line needs to block better and they have to be much more efficient on 1st and 3rd down. We now head to the halfway mark of the 4th quarter as Mahomes delivered a jump pass to Valdes Scantling that went for a 6 yard score in the back of the end zone, 27-17. This score was setup on an Etienne fumble. Chiefs in the 4th quarter racked up 4 first downs and finished 0 for 2 on 3rd with Mahomes throwing 56 yards. That'll also include 39 yards on the ground. Chiefs turned in 144 yards rushing with 7 first downs attached. Chiefs all game long dominated the Jaguars defense as running backs gained a ton of yards on good blocking and Mahomes hammered them in the middle of the field when delivering quick strikes. Recivers simply got open and made qualiity catches. Along with executing inside the red zone and moved the sticks effectively with solid 3rd down converting. Defense on the other hand were great in the 2nd half after getting pressure on Trevor Lawrence for multiple sacks and clogged most of their running lanes. As well as forcing a couple of turnovers. Now the Bills would strike first during the 1st quarter as Singletary secured a 1 yard touchdown run on 4th and goal, 7-7. Including a successful 2-point converstion after Allen zipped a pass to Diggs. 29-26. However, the Bills for a moment would stun Kansas City with 13 seconds left thanks to Josh Allen zipping in a much needed 19 yard passing touchdown to Davis yet again. 36-33. In which it resulted in Mahomes not passing the concussion protocol test and did not make his return, during win.

Aaron Rodgers ended his night by completing 16 of his 27 passes for 243 yards & 2 touchdown throws. Green Bay Packers after missing the playoffs the last two years, they have now got the pieces to their team & it has been so much fun watching them play this year. As they live on for next week & are officially just one game away from a trip to Miami for Super Bowl 54. Halfway through the 1st quarter Aaron Rodgers would find Davante Adams on a 20 yard passing touchdown, 7-0. Davante Adams was so good last night, as he ended his night with 8 receptions for 160 yards & 2 touchdown grab's to the end zone. The Seattle Seahawks fall to the Green Bay Packers 23-28 in the NFC Divisional round & will not be advancing to the NFC Championship game this year. Russell Wilson did everything he could, but a late decision that Pete Carroll would make & that was punting the ball away late in the 4th quarter giving Green Bay a chance to milk the clock. Russell Wilson ended his night completing 21 of his 31 passes for 277 yards & a touchdown thrown. Early on the Seahawks only points would be just three, until the 3rd quarter when Russell Wilson handed the ball off to Marshawn Lynch for a 1 yard rushing touchdown, finally getting a touchdown 10-21. Two possessions later, Russell Wilson would find Wide Receiver, Tyler Lockett on a 7 yard passing touchdown, 17-28. Seahawks had momentum after their last touchdown, heading into the 4th quarter. Seahawks & Marshawn Lynch would make that Green Bay defense pay, following another Lynch 1 yard rushing touchdown, 23-28. It would be a Pete Carroll call that is so controversial, as he elected for his team to punt the ball away, back to a team who he knew was just going to ice the clock & try to win.

The Kansas City Chiefs(12-4) rally back from a 24 point deficit to comeback & knock out the Houston Texans(10-6) 51-31, in a thrilling AFC Divisional round matchup. On a drive that went for 8 plays for 90 yards & had the ball for about two minutes of time of possession. To make matters even worse for Houston is that the KC defense found a way to contain Watson & that daunting Houston offense, following the fact that the Chiefs sacked Watson 5 times for 40 yards, while Mahomes was sacked 1 time for 5 yards, so big difference. Chiefs would sum this game up following a 4th quarter Pat Mahomes 8 yard passing touchdown to Bell, extending Chiefs lead 48-31. The Chiefs will advance to the AFC Championship for a second straight year in team history & will take on the 9-7 Titans at Arrowhead next Sunday morning.
Houston Texans watch a 24 point lead go right down the drain after facing a devastating loss, against the high powered Kansas City Chiefs, by score of 31-51. Deshaun Watson & his offense had the Chiefs right where they wanted them, they were playing loose & having fun out there. But Houston mistakes caused a KC comeback. For the Texans it started with a kickoff recovery problem, as they managed to fumble on that play & put the Chiefs in scoring position, followed by bad communication on the field. Deshaun Watson completed 31 of his 52 passes for 388 yards & two touchdown strikes to the end zone. Early during the 1st quarter Watson would connect with Kenny Stills on a 54 yard passing touchdown, 7-0. Texans next offensive drive would end with a Colquitt punt block that was returned for a Houston touchdown, thanks to Johnson for the scoop & score 14-0. Texans had their chances in this game yesterday, & the Texans would add on to an already large lead, following a Deshaun Watson 4 yard passing touchdown to Darren Fells & allowing his team to extend there lead by twenty-one, 21-0. For the Texans they would go on & nail a field goal 24-0, but that's where everything stopped for Houston. Houston was unable to contain the Chiefs as they watched them comeback from 24 down in one quarter. The Texans did okay converting 5 of 15 on third down plays, but didn't do so well when going for it on fourth down plays, ending with going 1 for 5 on fourth downs. Along with picking up 23 first downs all game long.

After a successful trip to New Orleans, the Minnesota Vikings had an unsuccessful trip to Santa Clara CA, following their stinging playoff elimination, at the hands of the 13-3 49ers, during yesterday's divisional round matchup. Kirk Cousins completed 21 of his 29 passes for 172 yards, 1 touchdown, to just 1 interception tossed. Now one big thing that kind of ruined the Vikings offense, was the fact that the 49ers held Dalvin Cook to just 18 rushing yards on 9 carries. Halfway through the 1st quarter after Frisco scored on their previous drive, Kirk Cousins would answer back by hooking up on a 41 yard bomb to WR, Stefon Diggs to even the score at 7-7. Stefon Diggs ended his frustrating day with 5 targets & 2 receptions for 57 yards & a touchdown grab. Unfortunately for the Vikings the drive after their huge touchdown play, they would only settle for just a field goal & ultimately losing 10-27 in the end.

The 14-2 Baltimore Ravens have been shell shocked! Following their devastating 12-28 playoff defeat, against a very tough 9-7 Titans team, during last night's Divisional round matchup. Ravens struggled from start to finish, including going 0-4 on 4th down plays. Another thing that killed Baltimore was the fact that they had 7 penalties for 56 yards & went 1 for 4 when being in the red zone. Lamar Jackson completed 31 of his 59 passes for 365 yards, 1 touchdown strike & two interceptions thrown. Early in the 1st half the Ravens fell behind by fourteen points & were trying to figure out how to get out of this hole they were in. After two half's of Football, the Ravens would finally find the end zone, following a Lamar Jackson 15 yard passing touchdown to Hayden Hurst, trying to bring his team within two scores, 12-28. I mean look at it, guys like Mark Ingram & Seth Roberts etc etc were playing a little banged up & the Ravens are not use to this attention that they have been getting from week 1 of the season, to now.
