Sunday January 26th, 2025: The Commanders got blown out 23-55 to the Eagles. Washington has been eliminated from the Postseason and what a year they had. During the 1st quarter on 4th and 5 Jayden Daniels found Errz for a 5-yard pass completion. This would be Washington's second fourth down converstion of the quarter. Few plays later Gonzalez drianed a 34-yard field goal, 3-0. This drive lasted 18 plays for 54 yards and they possessed the ball for 7:03. Next possession Daniels threw a completion to Dyami Brown who fumbled the ball and it led to Dejean recovering it. Washington in one secured 7 first downs and were 3 for 3 on 4th. Daniels passed for 97 yards and they ran for 26 averaging 2.6 per carry. 0 for 1 in the red zone with no goal to goals and 1 turnover. 3 for 7 on 3rd. Daniels got the ball quick going toward the sideline or across the middle and the Receivers did a nice job of creating separation. They had excellent chain movement and converted on 4th. Pass protection was pretty good as well. Too bad they lacked in red zone territory and turned it over. No goal to goal trips and they struggled on 3rd. On defense their secondary had trouble defending passes and couldn't stop the chains from moving. Also they need to get to the QB for more sacks moving forward and they have to defend the red zone better. Switching to the 2nd quarter Gonzalez made a 46-yard field goal, 6-14. On the following drive Daniels on 3rd and 3 threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin but they failed the 2-point try, 12-14. Late in quarter 3 McNicholas fumbled the ball on a punt which allowed Gainwell to recover it. Washington in the 2nd had 4 first downs and went 1 for 2 on 3rd. As the quarter winded down Gonzalez buried a 42-yard field goal, 15-27. Daniels delivered 65 yards passing and they ran for 32. No red zone or goal to goal trips with 1 turnover. Washington turned it over 2 total times, averaged 4.5 in yards per carry and they entered halftime facing a 15-27 deficit. Midway into the 3rd quarter Daniels on 3rd and 1 found the end zone for a 10-yard rushing touchdown and they converted the 2-point try, 23-34. Washington in three secured 3 first downs while going 1 of 2 on 3rd. Daniels passed for 48 yards and they rushed for 31. 1 for 1 in the red zone with no goal to goal trips. Jayden Daniels completed solid passes across the middle or toward sideline. Executed in the red zone and their pass protection was pretty good. For the run they weren't picking up a lot of yards but their per carry total was solid. Now they turned it over at a critical point with no goal to goal trips. Poor chain movement too. For the defense their secondary had a difficult time in coverage and they let passes get behind them. They couldn't protect red zone or goal to goal situations. No takeaways were created and their pass rush was in-effective. Now they bottled up the run and stopped chain movement. Now in quarter 4. Washington in four had 5 first downs while going 2 of 5 on 3rd and had some turnovers. Daniels passed for 65 yards and they rushed for 15. No red zone or goal to goal appearances. Washington tallied 22 first downs with 18 coming in the air and they finished 7 of 17 on 3rd. Were 1 for 2 in the red zone with no goal to goal trips. Rushed for 99 yards and Daniels threw for 278. Daniels made quality pass completions across the middle or close to the sideline. They did excellent on 3rd and 4th down. They also ran the ball well due to quality blocking. Too bad they turned it over a lot and made no goal to goal trips. Their pass protection was weak as well. Defensively, their secondary got torched in coverage and let passes get behind them. Couldn't stop stick movement ethier. Defending red zone or goal to goal situations was a problem. Containing the run was even harder to do and their pass rush wasn't as effective. Don't get me wrong they got 2 sacks but one was in the first half and the other came in the 3rd. Added a few QB knockdowns or hurries I guess. Washington had 4 turnovers, averaged 4.0 in yards per carry and they fell to a 14-6 record.

The Eagles routed the Commanders 55-23. Philadelphia is heading to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2022 and they'll await the winner of Chiefs vs Bills. In the 1st quarter Saquan Barkley broke loose for a 60-yard rushing touchdown, 7-3. This drive took 1 play for 60 yards and they controlled the ball for 12 seconds. Next drive Hurts connected with Brown for an 11-tard pass completion. After that, on 1st and goal Barkley went into the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown run, 14-3. This touchdown drive was set up on a Washington fumble. Philadelphia through one tallied 5 first down and went 0 for 0 on 3rd down. Hurts was 3 of 4 for 41 yards and they rushed for 67 averaging 22.3 per carey. 1 for 1 in the red zone and 1 for 1 in goal to goal. 0 turnovers too Jalen Hurts completed solid passes across the middle or toward sideline. They ran the ball effectively due to excellent blocking and moved sticks. They were effective in the red zone and in goal to goal. No turnovers ethier. Now in defense their secondary in pass coverage was weak and their pass rush needs to better despite a forcing a sack. They had trouble getting off the field on 4th down and let the sticks move. Now they stopped the run by clogging gaps and eliminated red zone opportunities. No goal to goal trips allowed and they created a turnover. Now in quarter 2 the Eagles 12-play drive ended with Jake Elliott missing a 54-yard field goal and the score stayed the same. Later on in the 2nd quarter Jalen Hurts on 4th and 5 delivered a 31-yard pass completion to A.J. Brown. Five plays later Hurts used a tush push to gain a 1-yard touchdown run but they failed the 2-point try, 20-12. Then on a new drive Hurts in 3rd and goal threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Brown, 27-12. This was set up on a McNicholas fumble. Philly capped off quarter 2 by snagging 7 first downs and went 5 of 7 on 3rd. Jalen Hurts threw for 96 yards and they rushed for 34. Were 2 for 2 in the red zone and 2 for 2 in goal to goal. 0 turnovers and 1 sack. First off, Jalen Hurts completed most of his passes across the middle, close to the sideline or at times deep down field. Moved the sticks effectively and executed in goal to goal. They executed on in 3rd and 4th down with no turnovers. Despite 1 sack, their pass protection was solid and they capitalized in red zone territory. Now they weren't running the ball for a lot of yards but the per carry total was solid. By the way penalties are killing Washington during this quarter and Philly is capitalizing off them. Firstly, their secondary had some issues in pass coverage. Stopping the run was tough as well. Luckily they kept Washington out of red zone and goal to goal situations. Limited chain movement and created takeaways. they didn't allow a lot of rushing yards but the per carry total was still effective. The Eagles had 101 yards rushing while averaging 5.6 in yards per carry, were 3 for 3 in the red zone and they went into halftime leading 27-15. Moving to the 3rd quarter Jalen Hurts found Goedert for a 26-yard pass completion. A play later Jalen Hurts scampered into the end zone for a 9-yard rushing touchdown, 34-15. One positive in this quarter was the Eagles passing attack. The Eagles through three picked up 4 first downs and went 1 of 3 on 3rd. Hurts threw for 104 yards and they ran for 16. 1 for 1 in the red zone and 1 for 1 in goal to goal. Shifting to the 4th quarter Hurts used a tush push to score a 1-yard touchdown, 41-23. This touchdown was set up on a Washington fumble. They scored 21 points off turnovers. Next possession Barkley went into the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown run, 48-23. As time dwindled down Shipley secured a 2-yard touchdown run, 55-23. This was set up off the Washington's interception. Philly through four had 4 first downs and went 1 for 1 on 3rd. Hurts threw for 6 yards and they ran for 108. 4 for 4 in the red zone and 4 for 4 in goal to goal. The Eagles earned 28 first downs with 13 coming on ground and they went 5 of 10 on 3rd. Hurts for 246 and they ran for 229. 7 for 7 in the red zone and 7 for 7 in goal to goal. So Hurts completed quality passes over the middle, toward the sideline or occasionally deep downfield. Were effective in the red zone and capitalized in goal to goal. Kept the chains moving and no turnovers. Ran the ball fluently due to good blocking and their pass protection was solid. Despite only 2 sacks. Calalized on 4th too. Now they did slack on 3rd down. For the defense their secondary had trouble in pass coverage and gave up 1st downs. Although, they Created turnovers and their pass rush got to QB for 3 total sacks. Kept Washington out of goal to goal situations too. Containing the run was difficult as well. Philly scored 8 touchdowns, averaged 6.4 in yards per carry and they moved up to a 17-3 record.

Sunday January 28th, 2024: The Chiefs go on the road and knock off the Ravens by a final score of 17-10. Kansas City is heading to the Super Bowl for a 2nd straight year and will meet the 49ers in a rematch from 2019. In the 1st quarter on 4th and 2 Patrick Mahomes threw a 13 yard pass completion to Travis Kelce for a fresh set of downs. Three plays later Mahomes completed a 19 yard touchdown pass to Kelce, 7-0. This drive lasted 10 plays for 86 yards and possessed the ball for 5:45. Patrick Mahomes with good protection completed his passes over the middle and and toward the sideline. He was 10 for 10 at the end of 15. They also ran the ball effectively due to quality blocking and moved the sticks. Not to mention they converted on 3rd and 4th down. Did well in the red zone too. Defensively, Kansas City's secondary in pass coverage kept everything in front of them and allowed zero red zone trips. Held them out of goal to goal appearances too. Granite they did struggle to stop the run. Jumping to the 2nd quarter Pacheco would cap off a 16 play drive by scampering into the end zone for a 2 yard touchdown run, 14-7. Chiefs were hurting Baltimore on 3rd down and methodically moved the ball. Chiefs in the 2nd picked up 3 first downs and went 2 of 5 on 3rd with 21 yards rushing. Went 1 for 1 in the red zone and in goal to goal. Mahomes threw for 75 as well. Patrick Mahomes with good protection was able to read the field before delivering his pass completions short over the middle and close to the sideline. Went deep downfield once. Also executed in the red zone and in goal to goal. Unfortunately, during this quarter alone they weren't as effecient on 3rd down and barely moved the markers. Let's not forget their run game was slacking due to poor run protection and couldn't stay on the field on 4th. Their secondary in coverage continued to bottle up the pass and stuffed the run by clogging gaps. Did a tremendous job of keeping Baltimore out of the red zone and goal to goal areas. To make matters better they applied pressure in the backfield and it led to 1 team sack. Mahomes threw for 161 yards, 1 for 2 on 4th and went into halftime with a 17-7 lead. In the 3rd quarter Patrick Mahomes threw for 18 yards and picked up 2 first downs. Went 1 for 4 on 3rd and rushed for 16. So the Chiefs pass/run ratio struggled to get going as Mahomes had trouble completing most his passes and their ground game was sloppy thanks to bad run protection. Kansas City rarely moved the sticks and were poor on 3rd down. Pass protection didn't give up any sacks but they still let Mahomes get hit. Defensively, their secondary got beat in the air but they took away third down converting and kept the chains from moving. Allowed no red zone or goal to goal trips. Now here's the good thing their pass rush applied constant pressure to Jackson and brought him down once. Two sacks on the day by the way. Then in the 4th quarter the Chiefs would ice the game after Mahomes on 3rd and 9 threw a 32 yard pass completion to Valdes Scantling with 2:19 left. Patrick Mahomes threw for 90 yards and they ran for 36. Added 9 1st downs. So Patrick Mahomes found his Receivers over the middle and deep downfield for quality pass completions. Also, their O-line created wiggle room by holding blocks and it allowed their rushers to expose open space for positive yards. Moved the sticks at a high rate as well. They went 2 for 4 on 3rd with no red zone or goal to goal trips. Pass protection had issues blocking for Mahomes. On the defensive side Kansas City gave up a lot of first downs and their secondary struggled in pass coverage. Had their fair shar of problems on 4th. Allowed no red zone or goal to goal appearances. Kansas City picked up 22 first downs with 12 coming in the air and finished 8 of 18 on 3rd. Went 2 for 3 in the red zone and 1 of 1 in goal to goal. Rushed for 89 yards as well. Shutdown the run by stuffing open lanes. Were 1 of 2 on 4th.

The first seeded Ravens take a heartbreaking 10-17 loss against the Chiefs. Baltimore is officially eliminated from the playoffs and will head back to the drawing board for next weason. During the 1st quarter Lamar Jackson on 4th and 1 broke loose for a 21 yard run and it set Baltimore up at the Kansas City 45 yard line. Two plays later Jackson heaved a 30 yard passing touchdown to Zay Flowers, 7-7. Lamar Jackson struggled to complete some of his throws as they fell incomplete. When he did get a pass off it was mostly through the middle and occasionally deep downfield. Now they couldn't move the sticks and struggled in 3rd. Pass protection was solid after allowing no sacks and they ran the ball aggressively due to good blocking. Executed on 4th down too. Defense let the sticks pile up and couldn't get off the field on 3rd. Their secondary had struggles in pass coverage and stopping the run was tough. Baltimore in the 2nd gained 3 first downs while going 0 of 2 on 3rd and ran for 6 yards. Lamar Jackson passed for 22 to go along. The Ravens offense looked flat through the 1st half. Their pass/run ratio was in-effective and the run blocking wasn't providing any space. Passes were being thrown incomplete and the Recivers dropped the ball. Doesn't help either that they lacked chain movement and hardly converted on 3rd. Made no red zone or goal to goal trips. Their secondary in coverage were defending passes poorly and didn't protect the red zone. Couldn't keep the Chiefs out of goal to goal and their pass rush needs to provide pressure on Mahomes because if they don't he'll do whatever he wants. At least they stopped the run by plugging holes and got off the field on 3rd. Shutdown 4th too. Held first downs in check. Ravens were 1 for 5 on 3rd, 1 for 1 on 4th and entered halftime facing a 7-17 deficit. To conclude the 3rd quarter Lamar Jackson passed for 54 yards and went 0 for 2 on 3rd. Recorded 4 first downs and rushed for 15. Lamar Jackson threw the ball effectively as he completee his passes deep over the middle and at the sideline. Now they still struggled to move the markers and were poor on 3rd down. Made no red zone or goal to goal appearances and couldn't run due to poor blocking. The pass protection was terrible as they let their QB get sacked. Defense stuffed the run by clogging open gaps and their secondary in pass coverage swatted balls down. Kept them out of red zone and goal to goal situations. However, their pass rush is still having issues in getting sacks but they did the next best thing by forcing QB knockdowns. They restricted third down converting and limited the chains. In the 4th Jackson passed for 89 yards and they rushed for 19. Went 1 for 1 on 4th and recorded 6 1st downs. Lamar Jackson in this quarter alone did a great job of finding his Receivers as he completed passes toward the sideline and over the middle. They aggressively moved the sticks and went 2 for 4 on 3rd. Effective on the 4th down too. Too bad their run game was insufficient due to bad blocking and made zero goal to goal trips. To make matters worse they couldn't enter red zone territory and the pass protection let their QB get sacked. They were also held to 1 touchdown all game long. The defense couldn't stop the run and their secondary in pass coverage got torched. Allowed too many first downs as well. Granite, they held KC out of the red zone and goal to goal. Also their pass rush got to Mahomes 0 times in the first half but cleaned that up in the 2nd as they started to win at the line of scrimmage and added 2 sacks. Penalties, lack of scoring with poor third down converting and turnovers is what cost the Ravens. Had some dropped balls as well. The Ravens gained 16 first downs with 11 being on the pass and went 3 for 11 on 3rd. Finished the day 0 for 1 in the red zone and ran for 81 yards. Along with going 2 for 2 on 4th.

Sunday January 29th, 2023: Eagles obliterate the San Francisco 49ers after picking up a 31-7 win. Eagles are returning to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2017 and will take on the Chiefs. In the 1st quarter On 4th and 3 Hurts delivered a 29 yard pass completion to Smith who hauled in a one handed catch. Two plays later Miles Sanders would scamper into the end zone  for a 6 yard score, 7-0. This drive lasted 11 plays for 66 yards and they controlled the ball for 5 minutes. Eagles capped off quarter 1 by picking up 5 first downs with 3 coming on the pass and went 1 for 4 on 3rd. Philly also rushed for 12 yards  Philadelphia did a nice job eating clock while executing on 1st down and capitalized in the red zone.  As for their pass game Jalen Hurts was able to get most of his short completions out towards the sidelines or in the middle of the field and Recivers did their part by creating separation to get open but steuggled on the run due to the O-Line not providing any lanes and werent as effective on 3rd. Defensively they pressured San Francisco early by forcing 2 sacks and 1 knockdown with a fumble added. Then during the halfway mark of the 2nd quarter Miles Sanders  would cap off a 14 play drive by rushing into the end zone for a 13 yard score, 14-7. Afterwards, Philly would continue to extend their lead after Boston Scott recorded a 10 yard touchdown, thus going up 21-7. This score was setup on a 49ers fumble by Joshua Johnson. Philly through two pulled in 4 first downs and went 2 for 3 on 3rd while outscoring San Francisco 14-7. Hurts threw for 70 plus yards and their rushers gained 40 on the ground. Eagles moved the chains effectively and were efficient inside red zone territory and on 3rd down. Philly's pass/run ratio were starting to click as Hurts completed most of his passes through the middle of the field on intermediate routes and their backs found space to run on quality blocks. As for theor defense they continue to be outstanding due to quality pressure being put on Johnson and have defended the pass well. Philly earned 15 total first downs, tallied 166 yards of total offense and entered halftime with a 21-7 lead. Shifting into the 3rd quarter Hurts on 2nd and 8 would take off for a 7 yard gain and it set Philly up with a 1st and goal. Couple plays Hurts would score on a QB sneak, 28-7. Philly wrapped up quarter 3 by snagging 5 first downs and went 3 for 5 on 3rd.  Philadelphia's offense remained dominate on 1st and 3rd down and were effective in the red area. Now Philly's pass game went for only 24 yards but Hurts still managed to deliver quick strikes towards the sidelines and their Recivers were gaining solid yards after the catch. They were run dominante as well after backs continued to follow blocks for positive gains. In conclusion, Elliot in the 4th would add the dagger after burying a 31 yard field goal, 31-7. Philly racked up 3 first downs and went 0 for 2 on 3rd. Philadelphia secured 25 first downs with 7 coming on the pass and went 5 for 15 on 3rd and 3 for 3 on 4th. Eagles raked in 148 yards rushing with 12 first downs added and finished 3 for 3 in the red zone. Eagles pass/run ratio was the Niners kryptonite as Hurts got the ball fast to his playmaking Recivers who gained positive yards after the catch and their backs kept pounding through holes on great blocking. Eagles weren't to dominate on 3rd  but picked them up when they needed to down the strech and were excellent on 1st and 4th downs. Defense did their thing as well by forcing a ton of pressure to the Quarterbacks by sacking them 3 times and earned 3 turnovers. Eagles accumulated 269 yards of total offense, went 4 for 6 in goal to goal and improved to a 16-3 record.

The 49ers use three Quarterbacks and it resulted in a 7-31 blowout loss to the Eagles. 49ers have defeated in the NFC Championship game in back to back years. Brock Purdy in the 1st was trying to hook up with Aiyuk but Reddick would force a strip sack and the loose ball was recovered by the Eagles resulting in the games first turnover. The Niners through one quarter reeled in 2 first downs with 1 coming in the air and on the ground while going 1 for 3 on 3rd. Including 26 yards rushing and Purdy threw for 19. However, the 49ers would lose Purdy to a wrist injury and Fred Warner who's on the defense left in the 1st with an apparent shoulder situation. The Niners offense struggling in the air due to Purdy having issues reading the field and isn't getting the ball out quick enough. Niners run game on the hand was solid as they found holes to go through on good blocking but had problems on 1st and 3rd down with no red zone trips. In the 2nd quarter Christian McCaffrey would break multiple tackles on his way to a 23 yard touchdown run, 7-7. Niners ended the wind by securing 2 first downs and faced 0 3rd downs with 1 turnover tallied. Keep note that the Niners faced  0 3rd downs on a solid 6 play scoring drive. 49ers capitalized on defensive mistakes allowing them to move the sticks in 1st and 2nd down. That includes Johnson throwing for 30 yards their backs ran for 26. The 49ers from time to time had their issues in moving the sticks and struggled to capitalize in the red zone. Offense couldn't get their pass game going ethier due their backup Joshua Johnson being unable to get the ball put fast enough and is throwing it away most often than not. Their run game has been solid as they are finding space to zip through on good blocking from the boys up front. Niners went a total 1 for 3 on 3rd, rack up 117 yards of total offense and slipped into halftime down 7-21.  Going into the 3rd quarter the 49ers would be forced into a three and out drive on just their second possession after Purdy's pass to McCaffrey went for 3 yards and was stoped short of the markers by White on 3rd and 13. Niners picked up 1 first down and went 0 for 2 on 3rd  with Johnson throwing for 26 yards and ran for 13. Niners could not move sticks and couldn't keep possessions alive due to poor 3rd down converting and performed horribly in the red zone. They have 0 red zone appearance up to this point. Pass and run game weren't effective as Johnson had issues getting the ball out due to Philly applying defensive pressure and their rushers could not find any open holes. Along with San Francisco getting Purdy back due to Johnson leaving with a Concussion. Transitioning into the 4th quarter Samuel on a run play bounced out left before being hit by Blakenship and it caused him to fumble which allowed Philly to recover the loose ball resulting in the games 2 turnover. San Francisco closed out the 4th quarter by hauling in 2 first downs while going 0 for 2 on 3rd and got outscored 3-0. Niners secured 11 first downs with 4 coming on the pass and finished 2 for 8 on 3rd with no red zone opportunities. Niners turned in Nines all game long struggled on the pass due to their Quarterbacks being unable to read the defenses and their rushers simply got stopped at line of the scrimmage. O-Line needed to be better and they literally used three different Quarterbacks with one being a halfback. Niners also performed poorly in the red zone and were terrible on 3rd down. As well as having issues in moving the sticks and suffered careless penalties. Niners were penalized 11 times for 81 yards, went 0 for 2 on 4th and stumbled down to a 15-5 record.

Now the Rams would secure the games first lead in the 2nd on 3rd and 13 after Stafford zipped a 16 yard touchdown pass to Kupp and went up 7-0.  Rams earned 14 first downs, went 1 of 2 when entering the red zone zone and slouched into halftime down 7-10. Come the latter points of the 3rd quarter and the Rams would make a critical mistake after Stafford was stuffed in the backfield on a QB sneak by Jones and Warner on 4th and 1 which forced a turnover on downs. Next, the Rams during quarter number 4 would come within three points as Stafford rifled a ln 11 yard passing touchdown to Cooper Kupp,14-17. This drive lasted 7 plays for 60 yards. Although, Matt Gay would add the dagger for the Rams after knocking in a clean 30 yard field goal, which boosted their lead to 20-17.  Los Angeles defense forced a turnover, Stafford tossed two touchdowns with one interception for 337 yards and their season will continue on.

Tart drops critical INT, 49ers get dealt a tough  17-20 loss when going against the Rams. This defeat denied Frisco of making their third Super Bowl trip in the last nine seasons and. The Niners would force a Rams takeaway in the end zone after Ward was able to intercept a Stafford pass. Unfortunately the 49ers offense couldn't capitalize on points off thus turniver.  Eventually, during the late stages of the 2nd quarter and San Francisco would answer with a score of their own, following Garoppolo tossing a 44 yard touchdown pass to Samuel. 7-7. 49ers were outgained in the ground 73-19, secured just six first downs and walked into halftime up 10-7. However, the 49ers during the 4th quarter would extend their lead to ten points as Garoppolo on a confused Rams secondary delivered a much needed 16 yard touchdown strike to Kittle and made this bout 17-7. But it's just unfortunate that on the 49ers final drive of the game ended with Garoppolo getting twisted and turned around before tossing an interception to Howard. Thus ending the Niners three play drive. Niners were shutout 13-0 in the 4th, Garoppolo threw 2 touchdowns with 1 pick for 232 yards and are now heading home.

Travis Kelce after last night's performance is now tied with Kellen Winslow for 13 total receptions hauled in when playing in the NFL Playoffs. Which was a single game record.
